Trinity College Kandy — Admissions System (Maintaining)

The Challenge

Trinity College Kandy, one of Sri Lanka’s most prestigious schools, needed to modernise their admissions process. The existing paper-based system was time-consuming for both parents and administrative staff, created data entry bottlenecks during peak admission periods, and offered no way to process application fees online.

The school required a secure, reliable online admissions system that could handle high-volume application submissions, process payments through a trusted banking partner, and provide administrative dashboards for the admissions team.

Our Approach

We built a custom web application on Laravel 11, designed specifically around Trinity College’s admissions workflow. The system features a multi-step application form for parents, real-time application status tracking, and integrated online payment processing through Commercial Bank’s MPGS gateway — providing the trust and security that parents expect when making school fee payments.

The administrative backend includes application review dashboards, automated status notifications, reporting tools, and export capabilities for integration with the school’s existing systems. The project was delivered as a fixed-price contract valued at LKR 495,750 with a 90-day post-launch warranty period covering bug fixes and minor adjustments.
